Hi and welcome to the Scrap Tiffany Recycled Blog Hop! This blog is the last stop on the hop, so be sure to head over to Scrap Tiffany to check out all of the hop stops!
One thing I love to do in my scrapbooking is to recycle by using the packaging of my scrappy products. Today I am showing you how I turned an old ribbon spool (with some unwanted ribbon on it) into a card!
I started by tracing the spool on patterned paper and cutting out two circles to cover the top and bottom of the spool. Then I decorated with flowers, stickers, a rhinestone, and a chipboard letter. I inked the edges and added the wings to the back. Finally, I wrote my sentiment on the back (plain white side) of the ribbon, wound it back up again, and held it in place with a decorative pin. Hint: test your pen on a scrap of the ribbon first, to make sure the ink won't run.
My sentiment reads "Someday you will be old enough to start believing in magic again." My card has a chipboard "M" and the word "magic" on the front.
I hope you enjoyed my project!
I am having a giveaway of vintage goodies to scrap with ("upcycled" items in honor of this recycled blog hop)! To be eligible to win, please become a follower of my blog and leave a comment on this post.
