Scrapbook Heaven June Reveal and Challenge - School Day

At Scrapbook Heaven, each member of the DT issues a monthly challenge. My challenge this month is to use alphas on your LO for something other than the title or journaling.

I made this LO with the Scrapbook Heaven June kit. I used the alphas from the kit to make a border around my page and a frame around my picture.

Anthologies Connection June Reveal - A Beautiful Mess

Here is another LO from the beautiful Anthologies Connection June kit. Get yours today!

I love to layer tons and tons of paper onto a LO. For this LO, "A Beautiful Mess", I soaked the paper in wated and sprayed it with Glimmer Mist while wet to give it a grungy look. I made more flowers with the yarn in the kit and added some lace and ribbon into the layers.

Details:

The yarn in the kit inspired me to pick up a hook and remember how to crochet.

Just love the lime green satin ribbon!

I love to play with felt by hitting it with my heat gun - such a cool, distressed look.

Scrapbook Heaven June Reveal - CRUSH

I had so much fun playing with my first kit from Scrapbook Heaven! The June kit is all about bright summer colors, great trims, and fun tags. Be sure to get your kit today!

So, here is my first LO, "Crush":

The journaling reads, "Skylar, I think you are at that age where pulling a girl's hair means you might have a little crush on her."

Details:

So, in the Scrapbook Heaven kit, there is a full book of Basic Grey rub ons. I wondered what would happened if I hit one of the rub on sheets with my heat gun. The result? It worked kind of like a Shrinky Dink (remember those?)...I think they turned out kind of pretty. I layered my creations onto patterned paper and attached with a brad, then added some stickles and viola! flower embellishments!

Anthologies Connection June Reveal - 2010

The June Anthologies Connection kit is BEAUTIFUL!!! "Take Flight" is on sale now!

Here is a LO I made with this wonderful kit:

For this LO, I used the negative of the alpha sheet in the kit as my background! So cute. I made some easy rolled flowers out of the patterned paper, added a big flower crocheted from the FAB lime green yarn in the kit, and stamped on the pleated ribbon, then made that a flower, too. I rolled up some of the metal screen to mix in with my boquet...such great texture!

Take Flight - Anthologies Connection June Reveal - Bloom Canvas

The FABULOUS Anthologies Connection June kit is now avaiable!! You do not want to miss out! Visit Anthologies Connection NOW to buy yours!

When I saw the cute 6x6 canvas in this kit, I knew I had to do something with it! I made a spring/summer canvas in yummy yellow and warm honey brown. I made some great flowers out of the cardstock in the kit and added some of the metal screen and fabric for texture.

I cut the cork in half to use as 'feet' for my canvas...I needed to give it a little height because the roses go off the edge of the canvas along the bottom and I wanted to be able to put it on a table, as opposed to hanging it on the wall.

Closeups of the FABULOUS handmade flowers:

I decided to finish off the back of my canvas, since I am putting it out on a table. I added another cute, little handmade flower to the back, this one out of the beautiful dragonfly fabric.
